Our philosophy

Animal welfare and conservation charities often have the will and the vision to find proof of animal rights abuses and illegal trading in animal species but they generally lack the professional skills to do so effectively. Law enforcement agencies sometimes have the skills but rarely the will.

After working in the business of animal protection for 30 years and witnessing an increase, not a decrease, in the exploitation of animals around the world, at Ruadan we believe that time is running out. We believe that amateur attempts at investigating animal crime are neither useful nor necessary and that the key to exposing and combatting it lies in professionalism and speed of action.

By combining specialist training and expertise once reserved to military Special Forces and elite police units, and knowledge of and commitment to animal protection and conservation we believe Ruadan can make a real and lasting difference.
