We are a small organisation based in the UK and with representatives in France and Italy. We operate internationally.

Mission

Ruadan’s mission is to protect animal rights and the environment by providing a range of professional investigation services to anyone working to achieve our same goals.

History

Ruadan succeeds where others fail thanks to the unparalleled expertise of its founder and director, Terry Spamer. Working as an inspector for the Royal Society for the Protection of Animals (RSPCA) for 27 years, 17 of which as chief inspector of the special operations unit, Terry has dedicated his life to combating animal crime. He was responsible for some of the first proactive investigations into badger digging gangs, the illegal trade in wildlife killed for taxidermy and possession of smuggled endangered species in the UK. He has written several books and has appeared in countless TV programs, news articles and media exposes. In 2004 he left the RSPCA to set up Ruadan. In 2009 he was awarded investigator of the year by the Association of British Investigators.

Personnel

Due to the nature of the work Ruadan carries out the identities of its personnel are not available to the general public. We rely on a network of professional investigators who have undergone rigorous training in Ruadan’s techniques and have a proven track record on the field. All of our investigators and collaborators are passionate about animals, wildlife and the environment.

Opportunities

At present Ruadan has no full time opportunities but if you have any skills that you think would benefit our aims we would love to hear from you.
