Training
Ruadan teaches individuals and organizations how to use professional investigative techniques that will guarantee them success and safety when investigating crimes against animals, wildlife and the environment.
All of our courses are designed by Terry Spamer and taught by Ruadan trained investigators. They include training in risk assessment, legal issues, conflict management, the use of technical equipment and operational planning. Costs vary according to location, size of group etc.

Undercover investigations
This five-day intensive course is based on training from the New Scotland Yard Organized Crime Group and is an introductory course that covers: infiltration techniques, covert filming, evidence gathering, compromise drills and responses. It is aimed at those people and organizations who wish to expose crimes by going undercover. Common scenarios include investigating wildlife trafficking, inhumane treatment of animals in abattoirs, farms, circuses etc. No previous experience required. No equipment required.

Covert rural surveillance
This five-day intensive course is based on Special Air Service (SAS) training and covers: investigative planning and establishing and maintaining a rural observation point. It is aimed at those people and organizations who wish to observe and record goings-on in non-urban environments. Common scenarios include badger baiting, hunting and poaching. No previous experience required. Basic equipment required.

Covert urban surveillance
This five-day intensive course is based on Special Branch training and covers: investigative planning, selecting and maintaining an observation point, legal issues. It is aimed at those people and organizations who wish to observe and record goings on in urban environments. Common scenarios include dog fighting and illegal trading in wildlife. Previous experience preferred. No equipment required.

Mobile foot surveillance
This ten day course based on National Police Crime Squad training covers all aspects involved in following a subject on foot and by car and using technical surveillance to track their movements. It is aimed at those people and organizations who, as part of their investigation work, need to track the movements of subjects. Common scenarios include the transportation of livestock and illegal trafficking. No previous experience or equipment is required.

Covert Human Resource Handling (CHIS)
This three day course covers the recruitment, handling and management of informants. It is aimed at those people and organizations who wish to use informants to help them increase the effectiveness of their investigations. No previous experience or equipment is required.

Evidence gathering & management
This five-day intensive course is based on training from the Sussex Police and is an introductory course that covers: witness statements, exhibits of evidence, log keeping, disclosures, forensics, pocket notebooks. No previous experience required. No equipment required.
